ITC Font Poster Design

This project began with an exploration of the history and cultural impact of the ITC Benguiat typeface. The brief was to research the typeface, identify a compelling aspect of its story, and translate it into a visually engaging poster.

The final design highlights ITC Benguiat’s resurgence in popular culture through the 2016 series Stranger Things. Once closely associated with the visual language of the 1970s and 1980s—particularly through its use on Stephen King book covers—the typeface was reintroduced to a new generation through the show’s distinctive title design. The poster visually represents this revival, connecting ITC Benguiat’s nostalgic past with its renewed cultural relevance.
